I bought Cool Cool Toon in a tiny shop in a basement in Akihabara, Tokyo when I visited Japan twenty years ago! Since then, I've played it on my Dreamcast every now and again, enjoyed the music and the gameplay, but was otherwise lost to the story of the game. Even worse, without knowing Japanese, I was unable to finish the game! (There's a point at which progression is simply impossible for those non-fluent in Japanese!)
Twenty years later, the incredible Dreamcast community hero Derek Pascarella asked if I would help with localization editing and play-testing on his CCT English Language Patch. And now, with help from many others, the patch is here, and I can finally experience this weird, hilarious, endearing game the way it was meant to be experienced.
